Gulf Region
We’ve partnered with leading authorities in Saudi Arabia and the GCC to deliver studies that strengthen power grid reliability, security, and future-readiness.

Our Global Impact
At Power Planners International, we support energy infrastructure, renewable power integration, and capacity-building projects across Gulf Region.
1. Saudi Arabia
Projects
Performed following studies in association with GCCLAB during last 4 years:
- Grid Impact Studies for integration of 3×500 MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in South Operating Area of KSA at Madaya, Najran and Khamis Mushait (ongoing)
- Restoration Plan for South Operating Area (SOA) from a blackout situation.
- Operational Studies for National Grid Saudi Arabia (NGSA/SEC) for 2022-23, and 2023-24 considering the impact of integration of RE plants in the system of KSA.
- Operational Studies for planned line-outages of MARAFIQ for 2022, 2023 and 2024.
- Restoration Plan for Madinah Area from a blackout situation.
Short Circuit Level Mitigation Study for SAPCO/ARAMCO, 2022
System Studies for SVCs for stability of Northern Regions of Saudi National Grid
Capacity building of NG-SA and SEC engineers on PSS/E software by conducting four training courses each in the years 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 in Jeddah and Dammam.
Two weeks training course of Power System Analysis using PSS/E for engineers of Saudi Electricity Company once at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in May-June 2012, and three times at Dammam i.e. first in Oct-Dec 2013, second in Nov. 2014 and third in Nov-Dec 2015.
